I’ve previously written about my latest book, Born on the Bayou: A Pre-Flashpoint Chronology of Swamp Thing and Hellblazer, which explores every event in the saga of the Swamp Thing from the character’s debut in 1971’s The House of Secrets #92 up to 2011’s Flashpoint, when DC rebooted its entire continuity. And now, I’m proud to announce the book is finally here.
This is a monster of a book (557 pages, 8″X10″), which took me two decades to complete. Born on the Bayou covers not only Swamp Thing, but also the comic’s three spinoffs (John Constantine: Hellblazer, American Freak, and The Un-Men), as well as all appearances by either Swamp Thing, Constantine, or the casts of their sagas in other titles, such as The Sandman, Shade the Changing Man, Batman, Challengers of the Unknown, The Books of Magic, and more.
The book is available for purchase from BearManor Media Books, in a variety of formats. I’m immensely proud of this oversized volume, which features a gorgeous cover and a wonderful forward by comics legend (and John Constantine co-creator) Stephen R. Bissette, as well as an afterword by Guinness World Record-holding Swamp Thing guru John A. Boylan, the editor of Swamp Thing fanzine Holland Files International. Here’s ordering info:
