My colleague and pal Christian Cooper, who was all over the news earlier this year (he was bird-watching in New York City when racist white woman Amy Cooper [no relation] called the police on him and lied that he was harassing her), has published a comic book about that experience for DC Comics, titled It’s a Bird. Congrats to Chris for his return to comics after 20 years–and for faring better than a lot of black men who have been hurt or killed in similar situations.
