The article, titled “Trek the Halls: A Christmas Carol in Space,” explores how Star Trek has historically handled Christmas, the Christian festival commemorating the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. Despite the popular myth that Star Trek characters don’t celebrate Christmas, the holiday has been mentioned on-screen many times, dating back to the 1960s, and one thing is patently clear: in the eras of both James T. Kirk and Jean-Luc Picard, Christmas is still very much an active tradition. Read the article here!
