Dark Shadows: The Complete FranchiseScreen, Print, and Audio

Download a PDF of this index here, and email any corrections or feedback here.

Whether you’re a first-generation Dark Shadows fan who watched the gothic soap opera daily in the 1960s, a second-gen enthusiast who joined the flock years later when the show was rerun on Sci-Fi Channel and released on VHS and DVD, or a newcomer thanks to Tubi, Amazon, or other streaming services… welcome! This is a show worth revisiting again and again, and many fans experience withdrawal symptoms upon reaching episode #1245 and realizing there are no more chapters.

But there are more chapters! The TV show is just part of the story, for the Collins family’s adventures have continued and been rebooted in multiple media. Presented below and on the following pages is an index listing every episode, film, novel, short story, comic, stage play, and audio that has been broadcast, published, or recorded in the Dark Shadows mythology since 1966, enabling you to enhance and extend your viewing experience beyond the televised serials. And it all starts with…

BEFORE DARK SHADOWS

  • 1954 “pilot”: The Web, episode “The House” by Art Wallace
    • Inspired Jason Maguire arc, and later incorporated into Shadows on the Wall; included on Master of Dark Shadows Blu-ray.
  • 1957 “pilot”: The Goodyear Playhouse, episode “The House” by Art Wallace
